Humberto heads to Burnham on Sea

Friday 13th October 2017

After a Friday night at out “local” car park, the Crown Inn, Cholderton, Wiltshire, we headed off early in the direction of Weston Super Mare.

We had every intention of going into Weston but got diverted and ended up slightly south, at the Caravan & Motorhome Hurn Lane Club Site, Berrow, Burnham-on-Sea, Somerset.

In truth it’s in the middle of nowhere and I can’t say I was all that keen on the area or the beach, it’s all a bit bleak for my liking.  There are thousands of static caravans along the coast though, so some people must like it there (I doubt we’ll return).

However what is bleak for a holiday makes for a moody video, especially when you come across the skeletal remains of a 120 year-old Norwegian sailing ship, the SS Nornen.

Like I say I doubt we’ll be back but a change is as good as a rest and I’m happy with the images.
